June 29, 2011-David took me to dinner at Bonefish
June 30, 2011-Told Kids!
July 8, 2011-Talked to Catholic Charities of Nashville
July 11, 2011-1st Homestudy appointment with Catholic Charities
and submitted 1st application
July 12, 2011-Mailed application(overnighted) to Hopscotch-placement agency
July 13, 2011-Accepted into Hopscotch Ghana program
July 23, 2011-Began Education credits
August 26, 2011-Homestudy Complete!
September 19, 2011-Sent Dossier to our agency(Hopscotch)
September 20, 2011-David & Karen-fingerprinted
September 28, 2011-Justin & Ryan-fingerprinted
October 20, 2011-I-600 Approval Baby!
Oct. 25, 2011Dossier mailed to Ghana
Waiting for a referral...

April 15, 2012-Our 23rd Anniversary...we heard from the Lord that we were to pursue 2 precious brothers on

April 16-Changed agencies

May 20-30th-In GHANA-to attend court and work with Feedingtheorphans.com

May 23rd-Met our children for the first time and

passed Court! We are now a family of 8-Praise God!

July 17-Filed I-600(Visa application) in Ghana

Sept. 10-I-600 Approved

Oct. 9-Passed Visa Exit Interview

Oct. 12-Kofi and King's Visa's issued & fly home!!!

Oct. 13, 2013-Arrive in Nashville-party of 8 please

So I ran across this quote that I love. "In circumstances and relationships I will gaze at the good and only glance at the bad." This is from Amy Lynn Andrews I don't know if it's original to her or not but I love it. It's what I've tried to articulate to my children... one of the most important gems of wisdom I hope to pass on to them. May I live my life this way.
